SUMMER MADNESS 2001
June 29th - July 3rd
BALMORAL SHOWGROUNDS, BELFAST
Dear Friend
WILL YOU PRAY FOR US?
Could you make an opportunity for some young people or
leaders to include ‘Summer Madness 2001’ in your prayers/intercessions at
your Sunday morning service on June 24th
IT’S FOR EVERYONE (including YOU!)
The Festival attracts up to 4000 visitors each year from
right across the island and seeks to support young people in their quest for
faith and meaning and a gospel-lifestyle that is relevant to their culture and
community. The event has been running since 1987 and is organised by the Church
of Ireland Youth Department in collaboration with a wide spectrum of
individuals, agencies, and Churches; it accommodates young people from virtually
all denominational backgrounds and outlooks.
COULD YOU ANNOUNCE IT?
The daily programme is available on-line at http://www.summermadness.co.uk/welcome.cfm which
may be useful for anyone from your congregation interested in visiting the
Festival at some point. This is a wonderful opportunity to be able to appreciate
the Festival without having to travel down to Gosford!… (our usual venue).
The programme is pitched at the late teens and twenties,
but the full family age range is increasingly catered for, with crèche and kids
work featuring in the programme alongside special leaders and clergy seminars!
Day and Half-Day passes will be available at the Festival
Reception at £15 and £10 respectively – Family tickets and Group concessions
will also be available at the Gate. If you could make it clear to your
congregation that SUNDAY ENTRANCE IS FREE till 6.00pm.
