13th November 2000
The Church of Ireland Diocese of Connor "Building for
Generations" campaign, launched last month by Bishop James Moore,
continues this week with a series of four Road Shows in Belfast,
Ballymoney, Antrim and Lisburn.
Campaign co-ordinator Archdeacon Alan Harper of St John's Parish in
Belfast, said:
"We are now on the road following a very successful
"Generation Day" event in the University of Ulster in October
when more than 900 people took part. It was a very inspiring and
exciting experience and we want to give hundreds of others throughout
the Diocese of Connor an opportunity to share in that experience and in
the ministry and mission of our church."
The "Building for Generations" campaign sets out a six
point strategy.
- Young People
- The Elderly
- Family Support
- Clergy Support
- Communications
- Training
