Bishops' Advisory Commission on Doctrine

Sunday 23rd September 2012 was a red letter day for the parish of Galway in the diocese of Tuam, Killala and Achonry. In the morning Mr Paddy Delany was admitted to the office of Diocesan Reader and in the afternoon Revd John Godfrey was ordained to the priesthood to serve as curate assistant of Galway and Kilcummen. The Bishop of Tuam, Killala and Achonry, Rt Revd Patrick Rooke, presided at Holy Communion during both services. The Dean of Tuam, Very Revd Alistair Grimason (who is also Warden of Readers in TKA) preached at Mr Delany’s commissioning. The Ven Ricky Rountree preached at the ordination.
