Bishops' Advisory Commission on Doctrine

The Ordination/Consecration of The Very Revd Patrick Rooke as Bishop of Tuam, Killala and Achonry took place on 8 September 2011 (The Feast of the Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary) at St Patrick's Cathedral, Armagh, where the new bishop has been Dean. The service brought together people from across the Church of Ireland, including representatives from the bishop's new dioceses, as well as special guests from civic life and senior representatives from other Churches. The service of consecration was led by the Archbishop of Armagh, The Most Revd Alan Harper, OBE, and the preacher was The Rt Revd The Lord Eames of Armagh.
