The Archdeacon of Derry and Rector of Culmore Parish, Archdeacon Robert Miller, has condemned the armed robbery of a Post Office in Culmore. During the incident robbers threatened to shoot a man working in the post office during the raid in the County Londonderry Post Office on Monday.
Archdeacon Miller said ‘As Rector of the Parish of Culmore I was horrified to hear of this incident. We all deeply appreciate and support our local businesses, especially in difficult economic times. This Post Office is a valued and important part of our community and it is shocking that it should be attacked in this way.’ Archdeacon Miller continued, ‘The goodwill and prayers of our parish community are with those who have been victims of this frightening attack. It was an attack on the wellbeing of all our community and is to be condemned in the strongest possible terms.’
