As both Church House Dublin and Church House Belfast will be closed for Christmas and New Year, out of hours arrangments are in place for Safeguarding Trust.
In an emergency, it is advisable to contact either the PSNI or an Garda Síochána in the first instance.
Northern
Ireland
The Safeguarding Trust Child Protection Office NI will maintain a contact line,
for use by Clergy or Parish Panel Members, during the Christmas and New Year
holiday period from: 22nd
December to 1st January 2013 (inclusive).
Should Clergy or Parish Panel Members require help or support in relation to a child protection concern, they may leave a short message with contact details, at the following number: +353 87 948 4412. Please note that this is an RI telephone number.
In the case of a child protection emergency you are advised to contact directly the Gateway team of the appropriate Social Care Trust. Details of contact numbers including out of hours and public holiday can be found online here
Alternatively contact the PSNI on 0845 600 8000 and ask to speak to an officer regarding a child protection concern.
Republic of Ireland
The Safeguarding Trust Child Protection Office of the
Church of Ireland (RI) will maintain a contact line for use by Clergy or Parish
Panel Members, during the Christmas and New Year holiday period from:
22nd December to 1st January 2013 (inclusive).
Should Clergy or Panel Members require help or support in relation to a child protection concern, they may leave a message, to include contact details, at the following number: 087 948 4412
In the case of a child
protection emergency you are advised to contact Health Service Executive Child
Protection Services during office hours only. Offices will be closed on 25th
and 26th December 2012 and 1st January 2013. Contact
