Bishop Ken Good, Church of Ireland Bishop of Derry and Raphoe, has offered his prayers and good wishes to Monsignor Eamon Martin as he prepares to leave Londonderry to take up his post as Coadjutor (assistant) Archbishop to the Archdiocese of Armagh. In a statement Bishop Good said:
“As Monsignor Eamon Martin takes up his new responsibilities in Armagh, I assure him of my prayers and very best wishes.
It has been a pleasure to work closely with Monsignor Martin in this city and diocese. In his ministry he combines visionary leadership with strong people skills. His deep, personal faith in Christ is winsome and his openness to working with those of other Christian traditions is refreshing.
I feel sure that his considerable gifts will equip him well for the work to which he has been called in Armagh.”
