Church of Ireland Bishop Congratulates ‘The Apprentice’ winner

Diocesan News

Added on 17/07/2013

Bishop Ken Good has added his congratulations to The Apprentice winner Dr Leah Totton. The Derry / Londonderry doctor has just won the gruelling competition to be Lord Alan Sugar’s new business partner, in the popular BBC 1 series.

The Church of Ireland Bishop of Derry and Raphoe said “This popular TV series has reminded us of the extent to which tenacity, courage and commitment are required to build any business. We are facing significant economic challenges and the need for an entrepreneurial spirit has never been greater”. He continued, “All of us from Leah’s home city are delighted with her success. Her achievement will serve as an inspiration to all aspiring entrepreneurs. It also reminds us of an old maxim that is relevant beyond the world of business, that the best way to predict the future is to create it.”
