Revd Stan Evans Installed Priest in Charge of Omey Group of Parishes (Clifden)

Diocesan News

Added on 24/09/2013

Bishop Rooke and Revd Stan Evans

On the evening of Friday 20th September the Revd Stan Evans was Installed Priest in Charge of Omey Group of Parishes (Clifden) by Bishop Patrick Rooke.

A full congregation of parishioners, former parishioners, friends and clergy gathered in Christ Church, Clifden on a balmy autumn evening for a Service of the Word and to welcome Stan and his wife, Rosemary, to their new parish and home on the western seaboard of Ireland.

The preacher for the occasion was the Revd Alastair Graham, rector of Mullingar Union, who literally sang from the pulpit and spoke warmly of Stan’s many gifts. The people of the Diocese of Tuam, Killala and Achonry look forward to building friendship with Stan and Rosemary in the years ahead.
