The Archbishop of Hong Kong, The Most Revd Dr Paul Kwong, along with the Dean of Hong Kong, the Very Revd Matthias Der, visited St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast today (Friday 18 October 2013) as part of an official visit to the Church of Ireland this week.
Having spent time in Dublin from Tuesday to Thursday, Archbishop Kwong’s trip to Northern Ireland included a visit to the Parish of Carnalea, followed by a visit to St Anne’s Cathedral for a lunchtime Communion Service with the Dean of Belfast, the Very Revd John Mann, and the Bishop of Clogher, The Rt Revd John McDowell. This was followed by a lunch hosted by the Bishop of Clogher with the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, The Rt Hon Theresa Villiers, MP, (pictured right) and a visit to The Dock in the Titanic Quarter in the afternoon.
The Archbishop’s visit to Northern Ireland is to conclude with a visit to Armagh in the evening where he will tour the Church of Ireland Cathedral and Armagh Public Library and be met by the Archbishop of Armagh and the Dean of Armagh.
