Church Army CEO discusses evangelism with the Archbishop of Armagh

Press Releases

Added on 18/12/2013

From Church Army:

Archbishop Richard Clarke and Mark RussellEvangelism was top of the agenda this week as Church Army CEO, Mark Russell, met with the Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of all Ireland, The Most Revd Dr Richard Clarke.

During the meeting Mark outlined Church Army’s DARE strategy, doing, advocating, resourcing and enabling evangelism and how it could benefit the Church of Ireland.

Archbishop Richard said: ‘The Church of Ireland really values the ministry of Church Army Evangelists working here in Ireland, and it was very good to meet with Mark and to explore how we can continue to work with Church Army both here in the Diocese of Armagh and in the wider Church of Ireland. He and I have already made some definite plans for next year which I am looking forward to seeing come to valuable fruition for the life of the church.’

Mark said: ‘It was a real pleasure to spend time with Archbishop Richard and hear his heart both for the Diocese of Armagh and for the Church of Ireland. Church Army values our partnership with the Church of Ireland and it was good to discuss how we can serve it in the future.’

Mark will return to the Diocese of Armagh in October where he will be the keynote speaker at the Archbishop’s Clergy Conference.
