Cork Week of Prayer

The Cork area Service for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity took place at St Luke’s Church, Douglas, Cork on Sunday, 2 February. The Service was led by the Cork Ecumenical Standing Committee and the music was led by the Monkstown Community Choir directed by Roger Ellis.

The theme of the service this year was from the First Letter to the Corinthians ‘Is Christ Divided?’ with the material being prepared by Christians from French Speaking Canada. During his homily Fr Christy Fitzgerald acknowledged the importance of our existing deep relationships and how we as churches need to continue to work together to contribute to society.
