Young Leaders in Ministry Fund

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Act of Disestablishment and to support Church of Ireland Ministry in the future, the Church of Ireland Youth Department has created a bursary fund to significantly encourage the number of young people undertaking mission and training experiences that would benefit ministry in the Church.
As part of the Church of Ireland’s programme of events to mark the 150th anniversary of its Disestablishment, a lunchtime lecture series organised by the RCB Library ran at the Irish Architectural Archive (IAA), 45 Merrion Square, Dublin, during Heritage Week.

Preaching in the most westerly Church of Ireland church building in Cork, Cloyne and Ross, and the most southerly Church of Ireland church on the island of Ireland, the Church of Saint Brendan the Navigator in Crookhaven, Bishop Paul Colton reflected on the challenges facing the Church in sparsely populated rural areas in Ireland.

A Visual Window to an Ecclesiastical World – an exhibition of the Church of Ireland’s historical architectural drawings – is continuing at the Irish Architectural Archive (IAA), 45 Merrion Square, Dublin.
The 150th anniversary of the Church of Ireland’s Disestablishment was marked in several ways at our 2019 General Synod in the Millennium Forum, Derry/Londonderry (16th–18th May).

An exhibition of the Church of Ireland’s historical architectural drawings – entitled A Visual Window to an Ecclesiastical World – will be launched by the Archbishop of Armagh, the Most Revd Dr Richard Clarke, next Tuesday evening (7th May) at the Architecture Gallery, in the Irish Architectural Archive, 45 Merrion Square, Dublin.
A new display of materials relating to Disestablishment has just commenced at the RCB Library which is the Church of Ireland’s record repository and reference library.
