From 1st December 2010 AccessNI is changing its methods of receiving payments for Enhanced Disclosure checks for paid appointments. Enhanced Disclosure checks for volunteer posts will remain free of charge.

In his speech seconding the Board of Education Reports to the General Synod of the Church of Ireland 2009, Friday 8 May, the Most Revd Alan Harper, OBE, said that it was the Church’s aim ‘to develop, along with other churches, a clear and shared vision of education shaped by the core values of the Christian faith’.

The Transferor Representatives' Council (TRC) has welcomed the retention of the right of the Protestant Churches to nominate governors for Controlled schools within legislation introduced to establish the Education and Skills Authority (ESA).
