Gender debates featured large at the General Synod of the Church of Ireland held 100 years ago in May 1914.
To mark the centenary of the Irish Guild of the Church – Cumann Gaelach na hEaglaise – a piece will be broadcast this evening, Wednesday 30th April, on ‘Nuacht’ on TG4 at 7pm regarding the Guild’s materials kept safe at the RCB Library.

February 2014 marks auspicious month in the calendar of the Church of Ireland Theological Institute (CITI) – formerly the Theological College and before that the Church of Ireland Divinity Hostel.
During 2014 the RCB Library will continue its Archive of the Month initiative which aims to showcase its collections to a worldwide audience by presenting detailed catalogue lists of some collections that have recently come into its custody and been processed.
The RCB Library’s final Archive of the Month for 2013 features a digital viewing of a rare set of images of the streets of Belfast and specifically the work of the Trinity College Mission in the heart of the industrial city which survive from the year of the Mission’s foundation in 1912.
