There is a news of an exciting competition as we are inviting primary school children to design the cover for our December issue. The competition will be judged by renowned Belfast artist Aly Harte and the winner will have their illustration appear on our cover and will receive a cash prize (and for their parish too!) There will also be a prize for the runner up.

We have a focus on mental health in light of increased restrictions and lockdown measures across the island. The Rev Jonathan Pierce writes about how to look after our own mental health, and look out for each other, in these challenging times. We also have news about a new three–year all–island mental health promotion that has been launched by the Church of Ireland.

Two Dublin schools who have both made a significant contribution to the education of the Protestant community in Ireland. Wesley College and The High School Dublin both celebrated important anniversaries last month, and we look at how they marked these milestones during the pandemic.

Dawson Stelfox, the first Northern Irishman to climb Mount Everest, speaks to us for the Big Interview this month, and he tells us about the spiritual experience he had climbing the world’s highest mountain.

Features include a return visit to Jubilee Farm, the story behind ‘wet’ boxty in a Donegal parish, news of the first female canon for St Columb’s Cathedral, and a look at the ‘Baking Buddies’ in the Lower Shankill.

There are the usual features including Mothers’ Union news, Diocesan Focus and a Devotional with the Most Rev Pat Storey.

All this, and much more!
