Transferor representatives meet with Education Minister Paul Givan

The Transferor Representatives’ Council recently met with Northern Ireland’s Education Minister, Paul Givan MLA, to discuss a range of challenges and opportunities facing schools as the new Executive begins its work.

The TRC collectively represents the views and interests of the Church of Ireland, Presbyterian Church, and Methodist Church, regarding education issues in Northern Ireland, and works with the controlled school sector and others on behalf of teachers, school governors, pupils and families.

Pictured with Minister Givan are, from left, TRC representatives Dr Anita Gracie, Dr Rebecca Stevenson, Dr Andrew Brown (Chair), and Dr Peter Hamill (Secretary).  To find out more about TRC’s role, please visit its website: www.trc–churcheducation.org

The Board of Education (Northern Ireland) represents the Church of Ireland in all educational matters affecting Northern Ireland and nominates representatives of the Church to any education body as required, including the Transferor Representatives’ Council, the Education Authority, and the Controlled Schools’ Support Council.
