Parishes encouraged to apply for Flood Relief Scheme
Funding available all year round to help with recovery
The Representative Church Body’s Flood Relief Scheme is available all year round to support Church of Ireland parishes that are affected by flooding. The total amount available for this scheme is €50,000 (currently equivalent to £41,800) and parishes can apply for a single contribution of up to €5,000 or £4,300 towards costs not covered by insurance.
Applications can be made using the form provided at the link below, which should be submitted along with photos and documentation outlining the damage caused. Please also provide bank details for an electronic funds transfer to the parish should the application be successful. There is no closing date for applications, and the scheme will consider applications to cover parish, parishioner and community costs arising from the impact of flooding.
