RCB Library Notes

Rare manuscript presented to RCB library

A rare manuscript sermon of Thomas Lindsay, Dean of St Patrick?s Cathedral, Dublin, 1694-96, has been presented to the RCB Library by the present Dean of St Patrick?s, the Very Revd Dr Robert MacCarthy. The purchase of the sermon was largely funded by St Patrick?s and it is expected to be of value in the current project to write a new history of the cathedral. The history will be edited by Canon John Crawford, a member of the cathedral chapter, and Professor Raymond Gillespie from NUI, Maynooth.
