Saint Nicholas’, Galway, rings in the new year
The newly formed Campanology School (led by Dr Paidi Delaney) at St Nicholas’ had their first big gig as they rang out the bells to welcome in the new year, mark the beginning of the 700th anniversary and Galway 2020. The ships in the port sounded their foghorns in response. This was preceded by a beautiful Watch Night service attended by over 120 people.
