County Cork school creates massive mural out of plastic bottle tops to conquer lockdown isolation

A small, rural two–teacher Church of Ireland National School in Ballineen in West Cork with twenty–nine pupils decided to find a creative and artistic way to overcome one big obstacle caused by Covid–19 restrictions: not allowing the pandemic to break down the sense of community in the school.

Cork’s kindness reaches East Africa

Diocese donates €12,000 to project tackling poverty in Burundi

Christian Aid Ireland has thanked the people of the United Dioceses of Cork, Cloyne and Ross for their support for the fundraising efforts of a Carrigaline clergyman who recently completed a sponsored walk around the county, raising around €12,000 for the agency’s work in Burundi, a country affected by poverty, hunger and conflict.

Belfast Cathedral to re–open to visitors

Belfast Cathedral will re–open its doors to the public from Thursday 1st July at 11am. This summer the opening hours have altered, the Cathedral will be open to the public Monday–Saturday from 11am to 6pm, and on Sunday from 1pm to 6pm.
