Douglas Hyde’s ‘modern Irish’ translation of St Patrick’s Breastplate
Continuing its ‘Archive of the Month’ initiative, the RCB Library will showcase a rare collection of images from Bihar in north India dating from the late 19th and early 20th centuries for February 2012.
Last Thursday evening in St Patrick’s Deanery, the Church of Ireland Historiographer, Dr Kenneth Milne, launched the fifth volume in the RCB Library’s ‘Texts and Calendars’ series which is published by Four Courts Press.
The RCB Library, the repository for the Church’s written heritage, has recently acquired two important collections of papers, donated by Dr Alec Lyons.
The RCB Library has received a grant from the Esme Mitchell Trust to fund a pilot project to catalogue the Library’s extensive collections of 19th century architectural drawings of churches.
