The following statement has been issued by the Transferor Representatives’ Council (TRC), responding to Ulster University’s ‘Briefing Paper on the Governance of Schools’.
The Diocese of Derry and Raphoe has got its first, newly–ordained Deacon in four years. Drumragh parishioner, the Rev Claire Henderson, was ordained in St Eunan’s Cathedral in Raphoe, on Sunday.
The Rev Carol Hennessy was priested on Sunday 6th September, 2020, by Bishop Pat Storey. She was ordained as a deacon in September 2019. Carol is to serve in Naas Union of Parishes.
Ordinations are continuing across the Church of Ireland, albeit on a smaller scale than would normally be case due to the current situation.

The clergy of The Christ Church Cathedral Group of Parishes, the Ven David Pierpoint and the Revd Ross Styles, will celebrate Holy Communion live from the RTÉ Studios this Sunday, September 6, at 11am.

The Church of Ireland’s newest bishop was consecrated on Thursday September 3 at a service in St Patrick’s Cathedral, Armagh, conducted under strict Covid–19 restrictions.
The service will commence at 4.00pm this afternoon (Thursday, 3rd September 2020).
