800 year old mummy’s head restored to rightful position as St Michan’s crypt reopens
The 800 year old mummy known as the ‘Crusader’ is back on display in Dublin. The crypt housing the mummies at St Michan’s Church, Church Street, reopened to the public on Wednesday morning, 9 July 2019.

Preaching in the most westerly Church of Ireland church building in Cork, Cloyne and Ross, and the most southerly Church of Ireland church on the island of Ireland, the Church of Saint Brendan the Navigator in Crookhaven, Bishop Paul Colton reflected on the challenges facing the Church in sparsely populated rural areas in Ireland.
