Local war veteran celebrates his 100th in Mount Merrion
The folk at Mount Merrion Church hosted a very special community party last weekend for war veteran Teddy Dixon, who celebrated his 100th birthday on Sunday.

Cancellation of Civic Service and Reception at St Fin Barre’s Cathedral, Cork
At the start of this week, the Bishop of Cork, Dr Paul Colton, and his wife Susan took the decision, before the announcement of the cancellation of St Patrick’s Day parades, with great regret, that they could not host their annual Saint Patrick’s Day reception at the Bishop’s Palace in Cork this year.

Morning of fun and activity for Cork, Cloyne and Ross Confirmation candidates 2020

Confirmation candidates in Cork parish host parish fund–raising lunch
On Sunday 1 March, the 21 members of the current confirmation group in the parishes of Douglas Union with Frankfield in Cork, hosted a soup lunch in the Canon Packham Hall. At the lunch €576 was raised for Cork Penny Dinners.
