In the light of the announcement by An Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar T.D., on 12th March 2020, the Bishop of Cork, Cloyne and Ross, the Right Reverend Dr Paul Colton, has issued the following pastoral message to the clergy and people of the United Dioceses of Cork, Cloyne and Ross.

On Sunday 1 March, the 21 members of the current confirmation group in the parishes of Douglas Union with Frankfield in Cork, hosted a soup lunch in the Canon Packham Hall. At the lunch €576 was raised for Cork Penny Dinners.
On Saturday 29 February, Bull McCabes Pub and Restaurant on the Airport Road in Cork City, was filled to capacity for the Parish Men’s Breakfast.
Fans of contemporary Christian music are in for a treat when the great Graham Kendrick takes to the stage in Waterside Theatre in Londonderry for a special fundraiser in aid of St Canice’s Parish Church in Eglinton.
Friday was a proud day for Garvagh Parish stalwart, Helen Livingston, as she watched a blue plaque being unveiled on her local church to commemorate the woman who introduced the Women’s Institute to Northern Ireland.
