The European Affairs Working Group of the Church in Society Committee would like to notify anyone interested of a public invitation issued by the Oireachtas Joint Committee on European Affairs to their regional sittings on the Lisbon Reform Treaty.

A referendum on the Treaty will be held in June of this year, and these meetings provide an opportunity to learn about the contents of the Treaty and to express views on it.

The Oireachtas Committee will issue a report to both Houses of the Oireachtas and the Government, and views expressed at the meetings will be considered in that report.
